Sector Taskforces
The Sector Taskforce is composed of subject matter experts from the public sector, industry, and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs). They conduct skills-gap analyses to identify in-demand and emerging jobs and skills trends, and they recommend relevant reskilling and upskilling programs for technicians, technologists, and engineers.
Aim of Taskforce:
Identify and recommend industry-validated technical skills and competencies (TSCs) for various engineering sectors to support the upskilling of engineering professionals and ensure they stay current with the latest skill trends.
Electric Vehicle Maintenance
As Singapore aims to reduce land transport emissions by 80% from its peak in 2016, the goal is to achieve a 100% cleaner energy public bus fleet by 2040. By 2030, 50% of our public bus fleet and taxi operators will be electric.
Electric Vehicle Chargers
Under the Singapore Green Plan 2030, a comprehensive EV Roadmap has been developed to drive EV adoption. As EV technology matures, electric vehicle chargers become essential infrastructure to support the nation’s adoption of electric vehicles (EVs).
Solar Photovoltaic Systems
Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems convert sunlight into electricity using PV cells. These cells are integrated into solar panels, which are mounted on rooftops or ground-mounted arrays. Inverters are used to convert the direct current (DC) produced by the panels into alternating current (AC) suitable for use in buildings or for feeding into the grid.
Built Environment
Singapore is committed to green building practices and energy efficiency.
