Nationwide Initiative to Empower Singaporeans to Reach Their Full Potential Throughout Life
What is a Skills Development Partner?
Five organizations has been designated as Skills Development Partners (SDPs) by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to identify the skills that workers in their sectors require and to help SSG determine which training programs to provide.
This initiative is a key part of SSG’s efforts to promote lifelong learning, particularly by connecting the needs of individual workers with the evolving demands of businesses and jobs. These organizations will gain the expertise needed to generate insights into the skills their sectors require. The partners will also help companies better recognize the skills and mastery achieved by their employees.
Who Are We?
As an association, IES understands the needs of our stakeholders (IES members, industry players, etc.) and communicates which skills are in demand.
IES, as a Skills Development Partner, establishes the relationship between the training needs of individual engineering professionals and the evolving demands of the economy and job market.
Skills Identification
Identify future, emerging, and in-demand skills through industry engagement, Job-Skills Repository, research, and analysis.
Skills Dissemination
Communicate skills information by publishing Job-Skills Insights and reaching out to stakeholders through various channels.
Skills Recognition
Promote the value of skills-based hiring among employers.
IES Skills Advisory Panel
The Skills Advisory Panel (SAP) provides strategic direction and guidance to support the implementation of the SDP programme. It endorses the SDP work plan and ensures effective oversight to achieve the programme’s deliverables and outcomes.
